Woman To Woman is a cancer support group for Vermont women of any age in the Rutland County area who have or have had cancer of any kind at any time in their lives. We meet (not mandatory!) at 5:30pm the first Tuesday evening of every month in the Leahy Conference Center of the Rutland Regional Medical Center.
If you are or know of a woman who is a cancer survivor and would enjoy a confidential and supportive group of women of all ages, please contact us through the contact link above or through our Facebook page: W2W - Womens Cancer Support Group of Rutland County, Vermont.
We enjoy a variety of activities together (many of them free) during the course of the year. Please check out our photo gallery of all the fun we have. And just to name a few: art classes, yoga, boating, knitting, scrapbooking, zumba, tai-chi, reiki, origami, Yankee gift swapping, kayaking, snowshoeing, walking, line dancing, pot luck dinners, and picnics.
We are always looking for new ways to have fun together as a group while being there for each other as cancer survivors. We would love to meet you!
Interested in supporting our group while doing some spring cleaning? We would be thrilled to accept any donations for our yearly yardsale to help fund our treasury that offsets our occasional cost of group activities. Household items big and small, anything you don't want, we can try to sell at our annual yardsale the end of May. All proceeds support our W2W cancer survivors as a group.
Another way to support these courageous women is by purchasing a cancer awareness Bravelet bracelet. Check out the various styles and "cancer colors" available to supporters of our group at their site. The Bravelets company will donate $10 to our cancer support group for every Bravelet purchased.
Another great resource is the Vermont Cancer Survivor Network. Be sure to check out their "Make a Kindred Connection" link to find out how you can be helped (or even become a helper if interested) by fellow Survivors in your area through this wonderful program of individual peer support.
